Fox Talent Solutions is working with a boutique personal injury/medical malpractice and commercial law firm to find a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to become a part of the team! They serve individuals, families, and businesses throughout Philadelphia, its surrounding counties and New Jersey. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join the team and take the lead on preparing and managing demands for medical mal practice cases. You will provide overall support to attorneys in building strong cases for clients who have suffered injuries due to negligence.
Responsibilities:
- work closely with attorneys, clients, and insurance adjusters to efficiently gather information
- draft persuasive demands
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
- Prepare and draft correspondence, memos, and other legal documents
- assist with settlement negotiations
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case information
- Utilize document management systems to store and retrieve important files
Required Qualifications:
· HS Diploma/GED
· Previous experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant specifically with medical malpractice cases
· Familiarity with personal injury legal research
· Experience with data entry and document management systems
· Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
· Strong knowledge of project management principles
Preferred Qualifications:
· Associate degree in paralegal studies or related field or equivalent experience
· Knowledge of Clio Legal software
A successful candidate in this role will be able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will need to have attention to detail and strong organizational skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and along with the ability to work well with others.
