Job Summary:
The Rental Manager will be responsible for overseeing the rental operations of industrial equipment, ensuring that our clients receive the best equipment and service possible, and growing rental revenue through internal and external selling. The manager will work closely with customers, staff, and suppliers to maintain high standards of rental operations and drive business growth.
Essential Functions:
Rental Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the equipment rental department, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place for renting and returning equipment. Monitor fleet condition, utilization and overall department profitability.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive rental experience.
Inventory Management: Manage and oversee the inventory of rental equipment, including regular maintenance, inspections, and timely repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
Sales & Business Development: Identify growth opportunities within the rental market, develop strategies to increase rental revenue, and actively pursue new client relationships.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor staff within the rental department, fostering a team environment focused on achieving goals and delivering excellent service.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the rental department budget, ensuring financial targets are met and expenses are controlled.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to effectively position the rental department within the market.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all rental operations adhere to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among staff and customers.

Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment rental, sales, or related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment and machinery, with technical knowledge being a plus.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Proven sales and business development skills with a track record of achieving targets.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and rental management software.
