Job Title: Industrial Automation/Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Facilities and Maintenance Manager
Education Requirements:
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Technical Trade School
- License or equivalent

- Good mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge with ability to read diagrams and drawings.

Model 4: Physical Demands / Work Environment Demands:
- Standing, Seating and Walking: Employees are required to stand and walk for the entire duration of their shift as there are no chairs available on the production floor.
- Lifting: The job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Employees will frequently need to bend, twist, stoop, and climb in and out of forklifts as part of their duties. Frequently reaching and stretching to handle materials at various heights, including overhead and ground level.
- Frequent use of hands is required for tasks such as operating a station, handling tools, equipment and materials.
- Good hearing ability is essential to communicate effectively and to be aware of safety signals in the environment.
- Must possess good visual acuity with the ability to see clearly at both near and far distances. This includes the ability to read fine print and inspect detailed components or equipment up close. Capable of performing tasks effectively with or without corrective lenses, including glasses or contact lenses.
- For those operating a forklift, the ability to safely operate the forklift is required and operators must possess a valid driver’s license

- The facility is not climate controlled. During the summer months, temperatures can become very hot, while in the winter, it can get quite cold. Employees should be prepared to work in varying temperature conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate, with employees frequently working on or around operating equipment.
- The role requires working under pressure to meet deadlines. Work shifts can change, and overtime may be required. Employees are expected to manage their time effectively and work efficiently to achieve production goals.

Detailed duties / Responsibilities of job:
- Execute assigned corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
- Apply and comply with quality policy and objectives.
- Preparation of LPA’s.
- Participation in problem-solving (safety, quality, and maintenance).
- Perform general cleaning of all maintenance areas to maintain and comply with 5S.
- Modify equipment to support: Safety needs, Quality needs, or Efficiency needs.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and downtime of each machine.
- Communication with the maintenance team to ensure proper processes are being followed.
- Assist in the troubleshooting and programming of PLCs.
- Assist in the troubleshooting of electrical issues related to relays, sensors, modules I/O.
- Perform facility-related maintenance in general carpentry, plumbing, painting, and low (12-48DC) / high (277-480AC) electrical voltages
- Involvement in new projects involving modification or installation of new equipment or machines for production.
- Demonstrate leadership with activities that affect performance concerning the quality, environmental, energy, and safety system.
- Responsible for the repair and service of injection molding machines with capacities ranging from 1900 to 2700 tons. The role also involves making adjustments, setting up, and maintaining robot rivet cells, automatic transfer systems, assembly suspended transfer conveyor systems, and checking fixtures.
- Undertaking planned service work as requested, supporting the plant start-up and shutdown procedure on a weekend rotation.
- Understand operate repair and maintain six axis robots.
- Completion of required paperwork.
- Can stop production upon notifying Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor Manager, or Plant Director of safety-related matters requiring immediate action.
- Perform warehouse management (WM) activities as requested.
- Ensure 5s and Respect OP Mobility Austin facility.
- Cooperation with Human Resources in dealing with personal matters.
- Ensure conformance to all company and legislative policies and procedures and Rules of Conduct.
- Use or wear PPE as required.
- Perform all duties safely and environmentally.
- Ensuring compliance to and participation in IATF 16949 and CSR compliance and ISO 14001 certification.
- Supporting the launch of ISO 45001 and ISO 50001
