We are looking for a highly skilled Recording Secretary to perform a variety of duties relating to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC), Planning Commission, Charter Review Board, Value Adjustment Board meetings and Code Enforcement and Utility Rate Hearings. This position is responsible for preparing agendas, attending meetings and hearings, creating accurate and concise minutes to reflect discussions, directives, and votes of the BCC and various other elected appointed boards and officials. The role is also responsible for accurately filing and indexing documents and subject matter to allow for efficient archiving and retrieval of information.

The minimum starting pay is $43,000. Starting salary is commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, up to $53,701.
A high school diploma or GED equivalent required. One year of experience as a Recording Secretary to a professional or elected Board, or two years of secretarial experience in a professional office setting with extensive knowledge of proper English or composition, grammar, punctuation, and spelling required. Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Word are required. Government background and knowledge or parliamentary procedure preferred.
