The Finance Acctg Senior is responsible for various responsibilities within Corporate Functions Controllers including Corporate Insurance & Risk Management. Excellent communication skills required. Some external communication will be necessary including oversight of third-party captive insurance managers. Involved in short-to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Responsibility for insurance group financials, reporting, planning/budgeting, and communication with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Supports the management and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data, including by preparing and recording financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes, updating the general ledger, recording financial transactions, and preparing of consolidated financial statements, in accordance with management reporting requirements, for legal vehicle & regulatory purposes. Also, includes specialized insurance accounting, expense accounting and investment accounting as well as general controllership responsibilities.
• Assist management to ensure that financial controls are identified and in place for all key processes and that any control weaknesses/issues are appropriately addressed and escalated with a remediation plan defined.
• Assist to establish consistent processes and a strong control environment, review procedures, MCA assessments, and review ARA on annual basis with key stakeholders.
• Additional responsibilities will include other controllership responsibilities within Corporate Functions Controllers, such as responding to accounting questions and inquiries, any required policy changes, identifying opportunities and leading transformation projects, driving process and control standardization, and the development of improved processes and controls.

• Excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation. The ability to understand and articulate complex financial concepts.
• Proven operational and financial leadership with ability to drive results.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities.
• A pro-active self-starter who can continue to push concepts forward with minimal guidance.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent a plus.
Education:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting
Pay Range: $35- $40
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
