We are seeking experienced General Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity near Frederic, MI. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Non-Treatment Exams:
- Perform one-time C&P exams and Separation Health Assessments primarily through interviews and limited physical assessments.
- Assessments may include range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and other relevant evaluations.
- Ensure the completion of all evaluations within 48 hours of exam completion, with no narrative report requiredonly standardized forms.
Option for Flexible Coverage:
- Two options are available: Travel to perform exams at a leased facility or schedule veterans within your own practice.
- Work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) based on your availability and preference.
No Prescribing or Treatment:
- This role is focused solely on assessments, with no requirement for prescribing or ongoing treatment, making it ideal for physicians looking for a non-clinical role.
Support & Training:
- Quick Credentialing & Onboarding:
- Streamlined processes to get you started quickly and efficiently.
- Training Provided:
- Comprehensive training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and the use of the provider portal.
- Use of Personal Equipment:
- Physicians must have their own laptop (no Macs) for completing evaluations and reporting.
Required Expertise:
- Specialized Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardiology is essential.
- Proficiency in METs testing and the ability to evaluate and diagnose respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions are required.
- Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- DMA certification is available, offering CME credits upon completion (required if not already certified).
Additional Information:
- Follow-Up Administrative Work:
- Regular administrative tasks such as addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic readings are part of the role.
