Position Overview: The IT Security Engineer will play a vital part in protecting the organization’s digital assets and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. The IT Security Engineers will work as a team to cover every aspect of IT security. In a dynamic environment, this position will troubleshoot and resolve various challenges daily.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address weaknesses in our systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor security systems for suspicious activity and investigate potential security incidents.
- Respond to security incidents effectively, to minimize damage and restore normal operations.
- Stay up to date on the latest security threats and trends, recommend and implement appropriate security solutions.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies and procedures.
- Influence employee security awareness training and education programs to help foster a security first culture.
- Become a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and ensure security is built into every aspect of the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in information security or a related field.
- Advanced understanding of security principles, including network, application, and data.
- Experience with mainstream security tools and technologies (e.g., vulnerability scanners, firewalls, SIEM systems, endpoint protection, etc.).
- Experience across multiple areas of technology and security.
- Experience with cloud environments, such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Understanding of Zero Trust principals and related solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient communication and collaboration skills.
