A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have OneStream or HFM experience, Financial Systems experience, and familiarity with scripting languages (like Visual Basic and Python).
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst is a hybrid position, with 2 days in the office (usually Mon and Wed). This is a client direct hire position.
Senior Financial Systems Analyst Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage ongoing development, maintenance and administration of the EPM applications.
- Maintenance of user security and access rights.
- Troubleshoot systems issues as they arise and provide timely solution and feedback.
- Create custom reports, dashboard and workflows in EPM application.
- Build relationship with functional teams within the organization and provide support, answer system related questions and resolve concerns and issues.
- Understand and interpret business requirements and effectively implement solutions.
- Provide assistance to Corporate Accounting and FP&A teams with forecast and monthly close, as well as external and management reporting.
- Lead meetings and provide strategic vision to any technical concerns.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures, desk manuals, training materials and supporting documents.
- Provide end user trainings and support global users with systems related questions.
- Maintain effective internal controls associated with the system. Ensure SOX compliance by documenting systems and security changes.
- Support internal and external audits while ensuring data integrity and timeliness.
- Enhance understanding of system functionalities and stay up to date with new releases for potential areas of improvement.
Senior Financial Systems Analyst Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance/IT.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Systems and Technology Solutions with 5+ years system maintenance experience.
- Experience working with OneStream or HFM, Planning, FDMEE applications and maintenance of metadata, business rules and reports.
- Proficient in MS office and SmartView/Quick View.
- Familiar with scripting languages such as Visual Basic and Python.
- Knowledge of GAAP and good understanding of Financial close process to support Actual, Forecast and Budget reporting.
- Flexible problem-solving skills, with ability to “connect the dots” even in areas outside one’s primary subject matter expertise.
- Effective communicator with ability to translate and present complex issues and solutions to support both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A visionary with ability to utilize experience and systems knowledge to streamline and improve processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work in deadline driven environment with attention to detail.
- Team player with the ability to perform task independently with minimal supervision.
