Our client, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies, is looking to hire a HR Generalist to join their team 100% ONSITE in Universal City, CA!
*** This begins as a 3-month contract with any opportunity to extend/convert ***
Responsibilities
- End-to-end employee lifecycle support
- Recruitment and Onboarding – work with hiring managers, HRM and talent acquisition team to identify and onboard top talent; be the key point of contact before and during first few months to ensure effective onboarding
- Reward and Benefits – work with central reward and benefits team when required for new hires, adjustments and other changes in reward and benefits.
- Training – ensure all new employees fulfil training requirements. Set-up and run ad-hoc training (i.e. HR systems, recruitment, and performance management) as and when required
- Employee Relations - manage more junior employee relations issues directly; provide coaching to supervisors and managers through the process. Partner with Corporate Employment Law team to ensure risk is mitigated.
- Provide onsite HR support as required – serve as main point of contact
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study
- 2+ years of HR experience
- 1+ year of recent LOA experience
- HR Generalist with FMLA (leave of absence) and Reasonable Accommodations experience REQUIRED
- Additionally, California has very specific and complicated leave laws, so it’s necessary for the candidate to have experience administering leave in CA or otherwise have a strong understanding of the LOA interactions in CA.
