Job Title: Patient Scheduler
Work Location: Lenexa, KS (66215) ONSITE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Job Description: We are hiring Patient Schedulers to join a Ophthalmology clinic in Lenexa, KS 66215. Previous scheduling experience is not required, as training is provided.
Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and an understanding of multi-line telephone
- procedures.
- Answer telephone within 1-3 rings with a professional greeting.
- Screen telephone calls and assure all messages are understandable and delivered.
- Obtain patient information by interviewing patients and verifying information for appointment scheduling and clinical messages.
- Obtains referring doctor information by answering telephone calls; interviewing referring office for screening emergent and non-emergent patients to be added to the clinic schedule.
- Route medical inquiry calls to the appropriate clinical staff member.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
- Communicate in a professional manner.
- Maintain proper attendance requirement.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- GREAT tenure
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of professionalism.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
