The firm has built a reputation for successfully representing clients in high-stakes cases involving asbestos exposure, mesothelioma, and other environmental hazards. With a focus on client care, strategic litigation, and a collaborative team environment, they are seeking an experienced Asbestos/Mesothelioma Attorney with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in asbestos, mesothelioma, or toxic tort litigation. Prior experience handling personal injury cases, particularly in complex and high-value matters, is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the complexities of asbestos litigation, including state and federal laws, exposure histories, and the scientific aspects of mesothelioma and related diseases. The attorney will manage a high-volume caseload of asbestos and mesothelioma cases from inception through trial. This includes drafting and filing pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses, as well as preparing and reviewing settlement proposals; Will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing compassionate guidance and counsel throughout the litigation process. Conduct client interviews, gather evidence, and maintain regular communication; Must have trial experience and will conduct depositions, cross-examine expert witnesses, and represent clients in court hearings and trials. Lead all phases of trial preparation, including strategy development, briefing, and courtroom presentation; Work closely with medical and scientific experts to build compelling cases, utilizing expertise to effectively explain the medical and technical aspects of mesothelioma and asbestos exposure.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of the legal and scientific aspects of asbestos exposure, mesothelioma, and other related diseases. Familiarity with the court systems in New York and other jurisdictions is required. Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills required. Compensation includes a salary of 300K-350K plus a percentage of settlements, a performance-based bonus and a competitive benefits package.
