Title: Senior Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology

Candidate Responsibilities:
· Plan, design, and develop animal models to test the biological efficacy of therapeutic agents for Neurological and Oncology indications
· Identify and lead external collaborations with CROs and academic institutions
· Lead early discovery program and present project plans and updates to senior leadership
· Analyze, organize, and present data in project team meetings with clear and accurate electronic lab notebook and documentations
· Present data at scientific conferences and publish data in scientific journals aligned to company objectives
· Serve as an example of teamwork and collaboration with adherence the company Team Operating Agreement
Candidate Skills and Experience
· MS or PhD in Cancer Biology, Pharmacology or related field in Biomedical Sciences with 4-8 years of experience in the biotech/biopharmaceutical industry
· Hands-on expertise in animal handling, drug administration, blood sampling, IVIS imaging, necropsy, and tissue processing
· Extensive surgical skills in rodents with more than one therapeutic area are essential
· Proficiency in establishing In Vivo PK/PD models is required
· Design, optimize, and perform high parameter flow cytometry is a plus
· Proven track record of managing external studies with CROs and academic labs
· Extensive publication record in high-impact journal is desired
· Proficiency in WinNonlin, Microsoft Office, FlowJo and GraphPrism softwares
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter with proper balance of scientific creativity and disciplined execution
Location: This position is based in San Diego
