Position Overview:
As a critical member of the global leadership team, the Division (Global) Human Resources Director develops and implements a comprehensive people strategy to enable exceptional business results. They will lead the execution and optimization of cross-regional HR initiatives, including organization re-design, talent management, employee development, legal compliance, diversity, and inclusion. A crucial responsibility is fostering a strong ITW culture throughout the division. The Global HR Director oversees HR strategy worldwide and collaborates closely with the leadership team to set annual and long-range plan deliverables.
Logistics:
- Candidate must be based in or willing to relocate to the the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area.
- This is primarily an on-site position with some work from home flexibility.
- Full relocation package is available for non-local candidates.
- Estimated travel of 30% (domestic and international).

- Applies the 80/20 mindset to streamline HR operations and advocates for simplicity within and outside the HR function. Develops a solid understanding of the ITW Business Model and actively participates in the Front to Back 80/20 Process.

- Utilizes strong business acumen and organizational insight to develop effective people strategies that support organic growth, operational excellence, and high-performance teams globally.

- Develops and implements core HR processes (e.g., talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, employee relations) aligned with ITW’s business model, culture, and values. - Leads the acquisition, development, and retention of a diverse talent pipeline. Identifies talent gaps, anticipates future needs, and establishes a robust talent management framework to support succession planning and readiness for both short- and long-term goals.

- Consistently models and promotes ITW’s culture, values, and inclusive leadership. As a credible advisor, challenges business leaders constructively and holds them accountable. Uses influence to drive positive organizational change and guides the HR team to success as valued business partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and recent case management is required; experience with international employment law is beneficial but not essential.
- Minimum of 7 years in an HR leadership role, with experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in recruitment, organizational design, engagement, and change management initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in transforming HR functions; operates with high integrity.
- Strong business partnership skills: capable of quickly learning and adapting to business changes, assessing talent, and understanding the division's operations and market.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; listens well and takes a collaborative approach.
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and simplification.
- Independent and organized work style with strong prioritization skills and flexibility to re-prioritize based on organizational needs.
- High attention to detail, strong technical skills, and proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally.
