The Remote Operations Center is responsible for monitoring the status of all solar plant systems on a continuous, 24/7, basis. The responsibility of this position is to ensure safe operations, superior customer service, and regulatory compliance with uninterrupted monitoring of assets, taking appropriate corrective actions as needed and execute plant procedures as required. This position reports directly to the ROC Manager.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to shift rotation, which will include weekends, nights, and holiday shifts.
Continuous remote monitoring of generation facilities to ensure safety compliance, electrical system procedures and processes.
Address faults, alarms, or other anomalies and communicate these conditions to the ROC Manager in a timely manner.
Interact with Transmission Operators and Balancing Authorities to ensure safe operation of the BES.
Draft power plant performance reports including but not limited to Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports.
Follow established procedures under general direction and minimum supervision.
Perform emergency operations to maintain service and safeguard station equipment.
Accurately report and document all operations of shift events.
Perform basic analytics tasks as required.
Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety practices and procedures.
Additional duties related to Control Room Operations as needed.
Skills and Abilities:
Exemplary integrity and a strong interest in renewable energy.
Time management skills is highly recommended.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work proactively and productively without direct supervision.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate moderate computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Excel.
Requirements:
**At least 3-5 years of prior Control Room experience in the Energy Industry.
**Requires working weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Schedule:
12 – hour modified Dupont schedule (5-week cycle).
Schedule is a mix of day and night shifts.
