Located in Hauppauge, Long Island, NY, Orbit International designs and manufactures customized electronic subsystems and major components for military aircraft, shipboard, handheld, and ground- based programs, as well as designing hardware to support rugged non-military applications. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing divisional programs to assure programmatic objectives are met throughout the program lifecycle. Responsibilities include ensuring effective program management processes and schedules as well as ensuring our commitments to customers are met. The right candidate should be able to manage a program from concept to completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages a program or combination of programs of various complexities.
• Prepares and maintains Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) for the applicable programs using Microsoft Project.
• Has regular interaction with program customers, the Orbit Electronics Group Engineering Team, and other department heads.
• Reports program status in the form of monthly reports to program customers, upper management, or a combination of both.
• Actively participates in program planning efforts and ensures effective execution and completion throughout the program lifecycle.
• Handles and tracks data submittals to program customers.
• Is the primary point of contact to the program customers for regular program activities, status, and problem resolution.
The ideal candidate must have:
• US citizenship or permanent residency
• Prior significant program or project management experience, 5+ years preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Project
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Organized and detail oriented
• Good interpersonal skills, along with verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
• Familiarity with stages of design process is a plus

Pay$90,000 - $105,000/yr. Depending on Experience.
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm On-site
