Job Opportunity: Accountant - Tax Specialist (HYBRID)

Salary: $75,000 - $95,000
Position Type: Full-time/Salary
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (Hybrid after 90 days – 3 days in office/2 days remote)
Position Overview:
Insight Global is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant - Tax Specialist. We are looking to hire within the next 2-3 weeks. This role focuses on managing and executing tax-related accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and has a solid understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax filings, including federal, state, and local returns
- Ensure compliance with state-specific tax documentation and timely submission of relevant forms
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes
- Stay updated on tax law changes and identify potential impacts
- Conduct thorough tax analysis to ensure compliance
- Assist in preparing financial statements
- Advise management on tax-related matters to optimize financial outcomes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors during tax audits
- Maintain accurate and organized tax documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on tax
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, GAAP, and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP or similar)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- CPA or other relevant certification is a plus but not required
