Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional knowledge of, and grows relationships with, the talent within departments, their workload and superpowers.
- Optimizing talent on client teams to ensure its properly aligned from a talent-to-task perspective and also budget.
- Creates the business case for new hires (temporary and fulltime) in collaboration with department heads, and works with HR and Operations on securing talent when it’s needed on a freelance basis
- Translates various utilization reports into actionable insights for themselves and department leaders.
- Ensures data that helps to inform workload capacity, allocations and availability are maintained.
- Partners with department leads to be the pulse on talent to help inform assignments, rotations, risk and overall strategic staff planning.
- Interface with cross-departmental contacts to ensure seamless campaign delivery
- Serve as a champion and advocate of agency process and workflow
- Partner directly with creative and project management teams daily
- Secure, allocate and shift resources as needed, working directly with Department Heads and client business leads, including Project Management
- Continuously develop expertise in all internal systems and tools. Support and train other team members to take full advantage of our platforms. Support ongoing maintenance of resourcing platform.
- Consolidate and streamline repeatable tasks to develop process
- Leads weekly resourcing meetings, to ensure talent is properly utilized and works to resolve any conflicts or balance workloads.
- Partners with Operations to review monthly billability and utilization reports and share insights and action plan with leadership
- Works with project management to ensure internal resourcing platforms are maintained
- Proactively strategize department staffing needs, identifying peaks/valleys, core competency gaps/redundancies based on client forecasts and trends
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years of resourcing management expertise in marketing/advertising industry
- Deep understanding of the creative and production process
- Firm grasp of the processes within an integrated agency environment and a love of creating order
- Deep understanding of the functional skills and responsibilities of various departmental roles
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence across all levels of seniority
- Comfortable working in an environment of constant change and doing so with a positive attitude
- Proactive and confident in prioritizing competing demands in a fast-paced environment
- Effective working with all levels of management
- Location is based out of our Chicago or Milwaukee Office
