We are seeking a motivated and personable IT Project Manager to support our client's Research IT organization on a high-impact project. This role requires an individual with strong emotional intelligence, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proactive approach to conflict resolution to ensure seamless collaboration within cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects, ensuring all milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Oversee planning, execution, and successful delivery while keeping teams aligned on goals and timelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with research and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, align on project objectives, and communicate updates. Maintain strong lines of communication to ensure stakeholder needs are met and expectations are clear.
- Documentation & Reporting: Oversee the documentation process for project activities, providing regular status updates, risk assessments, and progress reports to ensure transparency and alignment across teams.
- Team Leadership: Foster a positive, collaborative environment by building trust and managing conflict constructively. Encourage open dialogue and maintain morale, even under challenging circumstances.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify risks, address potential roadblocks, and facilitate discussions to drive solutions that support the goals of both IT and research stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience managing IT projects in complex settings, ideally within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industries. Proven track record of driving project milestones to successful completion.
- Emotional Intelligence: High emotional intelligence with the ability to communicate effectively, listen actively, and provide constructive feedback. Adaptable to the needs of diverse team members and able to foster a supportive project environment.
- Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build rapport and trust within the team. Capable of creating a collaborative and productive environment that supports project goals.
- Conflict Resolution: Skilled at navigating and resolving conflicts in a constructive manner, promoting open communication among team members and fostering strong working relationships.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, ensuring follow-through on all project tasks and deliverables to maintain quality and consistency.
- Communication Skills: Able to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in tools like MS Project, Changepoint, or similar platforms.
