The primary responsibility of the Quality Manager will be to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and internal quality requirements. This position will be responsible for developing and administering policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, components, and manufacturing processes. This position will be working with sensitive information therefore it will require an NDA. The Quality Manager will report to the Director of Plant Operations.
Principal Duties
1. Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards. Direct detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards.
2. Collaborate and support production management to ensure timely product release for on time product delivery.
3. Ensure employees follow established procedures and manage quality control and assurance staff to complete work within time and budgetary constraints.
4. Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment. Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
5. Establishing policies and procedures for material and product release, material and product quarantine, and non-confirming material and product.
6. Oversee and manage investigations in manufacturing quality issues and customer complaints, including root cause analyses.
7. Collaborate with production management to implement, monitor, and manage preventative and corrective measures to address quality issues and customer complaints.
8. Training production staff in best practices to ensure the quality of goods.
9. Develop continuous quality improvement program.
10. Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products required.
• Strong presentation skills required.
• Experience in SAP preferred.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required. (Or equivalent experience)
2. ASQ certification preferred.
3. Minimum of Five (5) years’ experience in a Quality Management position required.
4. Experience in the Beverage Industry preferred.
Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential. All meetings with senior company officials are conducted in Spanish, so fluency is a must!
