About the Company - Our client is hiring a mid to senior/staff level full stack software engineer to join their team in-person 3 days/week in San Francisco and focus on shipping products.
About the Role - Role responsibilities
- Architecting and implementing full-stack product features in Typescript/React/Node
- Building AI tools for end-customers to generate new content
- Developing analytics and experimentation products end-to-end
- Creating 3rd-party integrations with platforms like Shopify
- Building payments/billing infrastructure for managing customer use-cases
- Owning multiplayer editor end-to-end, focusing on CRDT and React-performance
- Own our user onboarding flow from end-to-end
Qualifications - Candidate requirements
- 1 - 6 years of experience Ideally fast-moving engineer with at least 1 year of experience from an early-stage startup (pre-Series B)
- Experience in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, and defining software architecture patterns to solve customer pain points.
- Excited to work hybrid with the team in San Francisco
- Strong proficiency in Typescript/React/Node.
- Can leverage GPT/Claude/Cursor to accelerate their work.
- Experience building products 0 -> 1 with real users and revenue.
- Has a product and customer-focused mindset.
- Values writing clean, maintainable software, including documentation (e.g. the code needs to be correct and run fast, but we’re the ones that have to read it and understand it).
- CS degree or similar from top university
Preferred Skills - Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience at an early-stage (Series A or earlier) startup
- Has experience being burned by deployment and maintenance issues. If you have a a strong opinion on how products should be built, that’s good.
- Former founder, or founding experience
- Experience in and enjoyment of hackathons
- Have an eye for visual design (or past experience in product design, Figma, etc).
