Environmental Health Officer - EHS Specialist / EHS Engineer / Li-ion Manufacturing / Lithium Ion / Safety Management / Process Safety
We are looking for a EHS Officer with experience in the Li-ion Battery industry to join our client on a full time basis in Boston, Massachusetts - creating and maintaining a strong culture of safety within all our departments.
My client is reinventing Lithium-ion cell manufacturing by providing a simpler, more reliable and safer manufacturing process, accelerating production whilst lowering the costs of existing and next-generation cell technology.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for safe operations in a fast-paced R&D and pilot production environment by championing culture of safety daily with colleagues performing incident investigations with support from technical teams, driving corrective actions to implementation
- Lead development and maintenance of hazardous materials management programs ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and operating procedures acting as a technical resource for workplace safety including handling of hazardous materials, chemical hygiene/HAZCOM, OSHA, and other applicable regulations as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+years directly related work experience
- Lithium-ion manufacturing and Process Safety Management experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations including OHSA, EPA, DEP, DOT
