Job Summary
The Data Warehouse Specialist will play a critical role across the corporate departments, working to analyze, design, and implement information systems that support the company's strategic objectives. This position requires a professional with strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and a thorough understanding of business processes. The Data Warehouse Specialist will collaborate with various departments to ensure systems meet business needs, optimize IT infrastructure, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. With a focus on effective communication and problem-solving, the Data Warehouse Specialist will ensure seamless integration of systems and processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency of IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain a high-performance data warehouse architecture, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility across multiple environments.
- Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple backend systems into the data warehouse.
- Optimize database performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance query and data load efficiency.
- Create and manage dynamic reports and dashboards (including Power BI), ensuring they align with business needs and are compatible across global environments.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and identify system enhancement opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into functional configurations for enterprise systems and ensure data solutions meet user needs.
- Provide ongoing support for data warehouse systems, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular system backups, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure continuous operation and system health.
- Assist in data analysis and provide actionable recommendations based on business needs and trends.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards.
- Provide technical training to end-users to ensure efficient use of data systems and business intelligence tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in data warehousing, database management, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Microsoft Azure).
- Experience with Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Languages:
- Spanish and Mandarin language skills are desirable.
