As the Maintenance Technician, you should understand the property's operating systems, construction practices, preventive maintenance, and safety practices. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Operations Manager, and General Manager, you should ensure that all work requests are completed on time and according to quality standards.
To thrive, you should have:
- High School Diploma or GED (equivalent work experience); technical certifications in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or General Construction preferred.
- Valid California Driver's License and ability to operate machinery such as scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance, with proficiency in basic computer programs (Excel, Word, Email).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and work independently or as part of a team.
- Safety-conscious and customer service-oriented, with flexibility for varying schedules and occasional overtime or night shifts.
Your responsibilities as the Maintenance Technician will include:
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues across HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and more.
- Inspect and perform minor repairs on equipment and systems, including fire alarms, lighting, HVAC, and more.
- Adhere to safety standards and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and external contractors (janitorial, security, landscaping).
- Assist with janitorial duties as needed and ensure work is completed in a safe, neat, and orderly.
