Job Title: Fleet Manager – All Fleet Types

Summary: The Fleet Manager reports to the VP of Flight Operations and specializes in overseeing the aircraft within the airline’s fleet. This role involves focused expertise on the specific operational and regulatory requirements associated with each fleet type and the variations thereof. The successful candidate will hold multiple type ratings and have strong training, management or supervisory experience.
Essential Functions:
- Technical expert who works with the Director of Operations, System Chief Pilot, Training Department, Airbus, Boeing, other OEMs and Technical Operations, managing the manuals for each fleet.
- Ensures compliance with federal and safety regulations specifically related to the aircraft type.
- Ensures that the aircraft technical and performance manuals are up-to-date and effects necessary revisions when appropriate through the SMS process.
- Research and analyze flight data operational issues specific to the aircraft type.
- Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) and specialist in aircraft type as it relates to all required pilot procedures.
- Helps to coordinate aircraft entry into service and aircraft exits and timing with Operations and Maintenance.
- Preferably possesses Instructor and/or Check Pilot experience.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation, specific to each fleet type.
- Responsible for studying and recommending emerging technologies to support Flight Ops into the future. The Fleet Manager will lead any future projects in this area.
- Will ensure that effective, two-way communication channels operate with all Crew Members in relation to information concerning each fleet type specifics.
- Assists the Director of Flight Operations and Chief Pilot(s) in liaison with the FAA, to ensure that the Company's operations are in accordance with the applicable regulations and stated company policies.
- Monitors and investigates all incidents where appropriate and liaisons with the Safety Department, as required.
- Assists the Director Flight Training and Standards ensuring all training manuals interface with all flight manuals.
Minimum/Required Qualifications:
- ATP Certificate with multiple type ratings
- FAA First Class Medical preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current US Passport
- Impeccable safety and training record
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Travel will be required at times to attend different events.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- High degree of competency working with various Company, OEM and FAA portals.
- Excellent computer skills using various programs and Apps.
