Job Title: WMS Process consultant
Location: Atlanta, GA (3 days onsite)

Job Description:
Domain experience: Strong Supply Chain & specifically Warehouse Management depth:
Process Optimization: Identifying and implementing improvements in Distribution Centre (DC) processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Technology Utilization: Leveraging warehouse management systems (WMS), WES, WCS, Shipping, Robotic Automation, Yard, Productivity Mgmt. and other technologies to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.
Industrial Automation: Ability to define, assess and transform low automation DCs into high throughput performance centres. Ability to analyse existing automation critically and suggest areas of improvement.
Inventory Management: Overseeing the accurate tracking of inventory levels, ensuring timely restocking, and minimizing discrepancies.
Knowledge Management & Thought Leadership: Training warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices. Working closely with DC Supervisors and CIP Charter holders to find avenues of improvement, gather feedback on all IT and Automation Systems, process friction areas.
Performance Metrics: Able to define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations.
Knowledge of Safety and Compliance standards for industry: Able to work closely with Supply Chain Ops on all warehouse activities to comply with safety regulations and policies.
Should have experience in Distribution and 3PL Logistics with respect to multiple Retail industries like Apparel & Fashion, Speciality retailing, Grocery, General Merchandising, etc.
IT Experience: Good understanding of Manhattan WMS (versions like SCOPE 2018 or above are preferred):
Understanding of MA WMS configurations, troubleshooting and support and other Manhattan solutions such as Yard Management, Slotting Optimization, SCI Reporting, etc, preferred.
Will be responsible for working with Software Development teams in agile environment including prioritization, requirements definition, solution design, functional specification.
Experience in integrating WMS with sorters, conveyors, GTP, Shipping systems etc will be preferred.
Experience with transportation management applications of leading multi-carrier parcel and LTL (Less Than Truckload) and TL (Truck Load) shipping systems will be a bonus.

Process Excellence Credentials:
Deep domain expertise in Warehouse Operation is a must for this role.
Supply Chain advisory, process improvement and consulting expertise is a must.
The candidate should bring Lean, Six-Sigma credentials or any other process-excellence credentials which are market relevant.
Implement process excellence in a project mode - from inception through closure as the subject matter expert as well as fostering and maintaining strong relationships with clients/SC Ops during and post such engagements.
Understanding business processes and requirements and translating them to specific software requirements including BRDs & GAP Analysis for development.
Drive process and productivity improvements into existing operations based on analysis of existing processes versus system capabilities and anticipated gains.
Define return on investment and gain alignment with ops/engineering on associated ROI and resourcing.
