Job Summary
This role provides technical accounting expertise to ensure that the Company is in compliance with US GAAP. Reporting to Director of External Reporting and Technical Accounting, the individual will be responsible for collaborating with business leaders to provide technical accounting guidance on strategic business transactions, assessing accounting ramifications, developing accounting position papers and determining appropriate conclusions.
Responsibilities:
•Lead, coordinate and prepare material sections of the SEC 10-Q/K filings including financial statements, footnotes, and Management's Discussion and Analysis
•Ensure timely filing of the SEC 10-Q/K
•Provide guidance on and drive implementation of new SEC reporting requirements
•Responsible for all SOX controls related to financial reporting. Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. Document and report control deficiencies and remediation plans to management.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT and internal audit to ensure alignment with SOX requirements
•Responsible for US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) compliance
•Research complex accounting issues and reporting topics and prepare technical accounting position papers
• Assist in the Company’s technical accounting, policies and specialized accounting functions, ensuring the highest degree of quality in the Company’s financial statements.
• Identify and assess technical accounting issues in complex business transaction.
• Work closely with various business leaders including Treasury, HR, Legal, M&A, FP&A, etc. to provide guidance on the accounting ramifications of strategic transactions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
CPA and Big 4 experience preferred
