This is a contract-to-permanent opening for an Infrastructure Project Manager. Candidates must live within commuting distance.
OVERVIEW:
The Technology Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of the portfolio of wide scope of complex and strategic projects critical to the organization's growth and success. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, while collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing advanced project management methodologies, and ensuring efficient resource allocation. The primary objective of the TPM is to assess and respond to business needs where technology infrastructure contributes to the business success. TPM will understand their assigned business teams’ functions, team structure, objectives, and needs/desires.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multiple infrastructure-level projects and initiatives across multiple functions and teams by planning, and coordinating the project objectives with consideration for risk, budget, timelines and overall business objectives.
- Evaluate and understand infrastructure systems and processes to identify improvement needs.
- Clearly document project requirements, define scope, priority, budget, and outcomes while maintaining stakeholder expectations.
- Create, maintain and disseminate project management documentation and information including: scope of work; cost estimates & budgets; resource requirements, schedules & consumption, and risk factors; communicating project status/risks to business stakeholders and management.
- Efficiently manage project budgets and allocate resources, while proactively identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Support assigned stakeholders within the business by building relationships with the business owners and their team(s). Develop understanding of the business area to apply to the development of solution requirements for the assigned business areas. Proactively identify process and business improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the methodology and process of planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives with team, stakeholders, and product owners, and proactively remove impediments to progress.
- Contribute to the decision making process throughout project execution and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on assigned systems and processes with respect to configuration, customization and usage, maximizing end user adoption.
KEY SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, STEM, or related program or directly related experience and certification beyond minimums will be considered.
- Minimum 4 years of directly related experience in infrastructure environment required.
- PMP, Scrum, RMP, or other PMI certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, best practices, software and tools.
- Proven track record of managing multiple infrastructure-level projects.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure specific standards is a plus.
