Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver interpretation service to patients in medical settings.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures as defined by the company standards.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, including reliability, punctuality, and preparedness for assigned shifts.
- Engage respectfully and collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in our quality assurance and monitoring programs.
ASL Interpreter Requirements:
- Must hold one or more of the following certifications: RID NIC (or higher), RID CI, CT, IC/TC, CSC, SC, MCSC, CDI, or NAD Level IV/V.
- Texas: BEI-3 or higher.
- Over 2 years of experience in community or medical interpreting.
- Extensive knowledge of the NAD/RID Code of Professional Conduct and Deaf culture.
- Familiarity with state laws and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Fluency and excellent communication skills in both the source and target language. Source language is English
- Deep respect and understanding of cultural nuances, legal and medical terminology relevant to our LEP clients.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the code of ethics and standards of practice
- Familiarity with medical privacy laws (HIPAA) and applicable federal and state regulations.
