Our client is seeking a Logistics Project Manager with experience managing projects around supply chain, inventory management, or repairs management (preferred).
Long term contract (years)/ Ideally hybrid onsite (1-2 days per week) – North County San Diego, CA
Responsibilities:
- Will support the Logistics Program Management group
- Assist group that hands repair management projects, sustainment, and aftermarket.
- Handle logistics, aftermarket operations, and work with customers and PMs to develop a sustainment plan.
- Work with the customer on shipping products, manage negotiations, etc. for after the sale.
- Work with supplier on projects when something breaks. Examples of projects could be: How are we tracking this on a spreadsheet, take 5 spreadsheets and merge until one and how do we automate that? Where the data is at in the erp systems? How do we take status reports and automate them. How do we make more user friendly…. Assist if supplier is struggling with inventory control, etc.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Supports Inventory control
- This person will do a lot of tactical work and support 3 Logistics Program Managers on various projects.
- Assist with data entry, data clean up, data support, and smaller tasks as needed.
- Day to day transactions or batch transactions
- Talking to shipping/receiving folks and demand planners and supply planners for inventory control, depot managers, working with Logistics Program Managers, pulling reports in Oracle, vlookups in excel, etc.
- Someone more of a program analyst with the potential to be client facing but a lot of it is internal facing supporting the program manager
- Supporting – work order management (being a link between program manager and inventory manager to make sure they meet delivery schedule) inventory management (assisting physically with inventories)
- Broad range of products they support – supports entire portfolio of 3 LPMs
- Be in JIRA and Oracle and personally doing transactions in Oracle and coordinating transactions Opening JIRA tickets to either pull material or set up shipping for material
- All PM is Agile. Data to support material requirements is in Agile
- They use JIRA to track tasks and have an internal ticketing system
- PLMS project life cycle management system is Agile
- Everything else is in Oracle – ERP. They will consider another ERP like SAP, who can pick up Oracle – they are moving to SAP in the next 3-5 years
Seeking:
- Experience as a Program Analyst, Project Manager, Program Manager, or similar
- Project/Program Analysis/ Management, planning, analytics, process training, documentation, customer relations, data, cost savings
- Supply Chain/Maintenance mgmt., audits, budgets, contracts, BOMS, cost control, supply chain transportation
- ERP experience and understand work order and inventory management (Oracle preferred, SAP is okay)
- Data Analytics in Tableau or PowerBI is nice to have
- Military background is a plus – good for customer engagement and contracts but not required
- Knowledge of Agile best practices
- Knowledge of Jira
- US Citizen
