The Finance Manager is a critical member of the business unit responsible for providing financial guidance and support to the organization. This role will primarily focus on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Profit & Loss (P&L) management, profitability analysis, and ensuring the accuracy and relevance of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Prepare and manage the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) reviewing financial projections and budgets.
- Conduct variance analysis to assess performance against targets.
Profit & Loss Management:
- Oversee the P&L statement and ensure its accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze profitability by product, customer, and region.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve profitability.
Profitability Analysis:
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure profitability.
- Conduct profitability analysis to assess the financial health of the business.
- Analyze and recommend actions for new business cases
- Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance profitability.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Defend and provide factual analysis of deviation from plan.
Financial Modeling:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare cash flow projections and manage impact.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of different scenarios on financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills
- Experience in distribution sector and Automotive industry beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of financial accounting principles and standards (GAAP or IFRS).
- Experience with financial systems and ERP software.
