This position is responsible for the execution and assessment of Manufacturing Excellence and Quality Systems within a specific Product Line of Carlisle Construction Materials. This position will communicate with the factories to ensure that the Integrated Management System (IMS) is functioning in accordance with ISO 9001 and other management systems by developing strong relationships and influencing plant leadership to improve manufacturing quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the quality management system. Using metrics, bowlers and dashboards, report on the quality performance, measuring against set indicators including product defects, customer complaints, CAPA completion, scrap, etc.
- Conducts periodic review of quality performance with plant leadership
- Ensures that procedures are properly understood and followed in accordance with the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Manage the customer complaints process, including intake, review with plants, management of problem-solving efforts, sharing of best practices, and system closure.
- Drives to root cause and corrective action via formal PDCA methodology and A3 problem solving tools.
- Perform data analytics on existing quality and production data, identifying top actions to improve and aligning with Operations to manage action implementation.
- Analyzes processing and product parameters to enable production at consistent high-quality levels.
- Uses statistical process control techniques and statistically designed experiments to provide guidance to actions for improvement.
- Lead and promote the primary purpose of COS (Carlisle Operating System), which is to ensure there is an effective transformation from the traditional methods of running the business to new methods that incorporate both lean manufacturing and six sigma principles.
- Perform Internal Quality Audits at the manufacturing plants focusing on use of established quality procedures & systems and effectiveness/sustainment of implemented corrective actions.
- Manage the revisions to the Business Unit Quality Manual and/or Aesthetics Guide and communicating those changes effectively to the manufacturing plants ensuring alignment across Operations.
- Conducts training of the various Quality Services systems to Operations teams.
- Works with other Support Functions, including R&D, Purchasing, Engineering, etc. to ensure alignment of quality throughout the manufacturing process and leads select initiatives to improve quality systems.
- Prepares routine status reports with regards to essential duties.
- Develops relationships with stakeholders to understand and assess needs to drive quality performance at the plants and coordinate with other departments.
- Ensures that Carlisle’s products and services are fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, aligned with customer requirements, including legal, environmental, and quality compliance.
- Conducting Quality Improvement Team meetings on a regular basis with the quality leads at the manufacturing plants.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
- Five years of Quality Control/Quality Assurance in manufacturing is required
- Two years of chemical process engineering experience is preferred.
- Experience in a technical role within the manufacturing industry required.
- Experience in an ISO 9001 Quality Management System environment is preferred.
- Project Management skills preferred.

- Some visits to factory.
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Some work/travel outside of normal working hours will be required.
