Medix is excited to invite a Principal Scientist/Study Director to join our dynamic Medical Device research client in San Diego. In this pivotal role, you’ll leverage your expertise to oversee and execute in vivo studies, manage protocol design and reporting, and act as the technical expert for surgical studies. You’ll play a key part in business development, engage directly with clients, and drive compliance with industry standards for animal care and use.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in a scientific field, with training in veterinary medicine or lab animal research
- 5-8 years of experience as a study director in lab animal (in vivo) research and surgical procedures
- Strong expertise in medical device research, imaging modalities, and GLP lab experience (preferably in a CRO setting)
- Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a team-oriented mindset
