Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Individual needs to be able to identify red flags
- Ability to start Sprints, Close sprints, Troubleshoot issues
- They need to understand reports and be able to improve reporting when needed
- Individual should be able to document and identify process improvement opportunities
- They need to know when to push development team and have them include more items in Sprint
- Great communication, current team is distributed so ability to work through Web Ex
- Help resolve impediments
- Keep scrum artifacts visible
- Promote transparency across multiple feature teams, with Product Owner and Leadership team
- Help the team build quality into the software and deliveries
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the feature team by participating and leading retrospectives, sharing observations, and ideas for improvement
- Responsible for ensuring project teams adhere to Scrum values, practices and rules as the team’s Scrum Master
- Serve as the principal communicator with internal stakeholders regarding project status
Basic Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (ideal)
- Four year Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Communications or Engineering
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master on software development projects
- 2+ years of experience in project management leading multiple, simultaneous projects across cross-functional teams
- 3+ year of experience with the Agile methodology
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Experience in Agile project management tools such as JIRA & Confluence
- Experience leading projects with an onshore/offshore team model
- Experience overseeing large multi-functional project teams
- Demonstrated ability to resolve team conflicts, remove roadblocks and communicate appropriately to ensure a team's success
- Strong accountability, project planning/organization, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspect and adapt the way the team works to continuously improve
- Demonstrated experience managing large projects with multiple work streams in various stages of development
- Knowledge of SDLC and demonstrated experience employing SDLC in aspects of the project management process
- 4-6 years of prior experience in applying proven project management methodologies to large mission critical projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Background in Information Technology
- Hospitality background plus but not required
