A recognized nonprofit services organization in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their growing in Union County as their new Facilities Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of the organization's facilities.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the efficient operation of equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building components
- Coordinate and monitor company events and room-set ups
- Monitor and control inventory of supplies and equipment needed for facility maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and repairs
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure facilities meet operational needs and safety requirements
- Reviews budgets, estimates, labor, materials and other related costs for maintenance and repairs
- Oversees ground maintenance including snow removal, landscaping, and storm water management
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Supervisory experience in Facility Management or similar role
- Knowledge and experience in building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
- HVAC/R certification and/or Black Seal certification
- Experience in a Nonprofit, Social Services, and/or Warehouse environment
