Job Opportunity: Cost Analyst (Houston-Based)
Are you a skilled Cost Analyst with a strong background in cost management for large-scale projects? We’re seeking a qualified professional to support EPC projects related to Carbon Capture & Sequestration (CCS) and LNG Facilities, with a project range of $300 million to over $10 billion. If you have 5+ years in cost management for major oil, gas, power, LNG, or infrastructure projects, and advanced Excel skills, this may be the perfect opportunity!
Location: Houston, TX, with monthly travel to Brownsville, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed project budgets, cost estimates, and control budgets
- Track project commitments, actuals, and accruals, and prepare monthly cost reports
- Evaluate bid proposals, scope change orders, and vendor/contractor invoices
- Generate project performance metrics, cashflow analysis, and reforecasting
- Collaborate with Finance on cash flow curve development and create cost management presentations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, Business, or Finance
- 5+ years of experience in cost management for major infrastructure projects
- Proficiency with Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Cost Management software and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
- Familiarity with project controls techniques across the full project lifecycle
Travel Requirement: Monthly travel to project site during the construction phase (1-2 days/month)
