An aerospace client is looking for Wire Harness Technicians who will under minimal supervision, fabricate and assemble complex Space flight cable and harness assemblies from drawings, schematics, wire lists, or engineering sketches in conformance with government specifications and workmanship standards.

Position: Wire Harness Technicians
Pay Rate: $29.71/hr. on W2
Duration: 9 months or longer
Schedule: 9/80 (6:00 am to 3:30 pm)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manufacture cable/harness products.
- Reads and interprets Work Instructions, schematics, wire lists, and drawings.
- Ensures quality of the hardware is maintained and company procedures are followed.
- Ensures work is done with completeness, accuracy, and adherence to operation sheets, ISO procedures, schedules, and assigned tasks.
- Provides regular communication to shopping leads and Work Center management on status and technical issues.
- Support cable and harness installations to spacecraft per installation drawings and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- US Citizenship is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Should be capable and experienced in working in a broad-based manufacturing environment.
- A strong understanding of wiring processes, crimping, splicing, wire routing, and assembly techniques as they apply to NASA standard harness assembly operations is required.
- Must have experience in computer software such as Microsoft Word, MS Outlook, and Excel. (Excel is most important)
- The candidate must work well alone and within a team environment
- Must possess good problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and communication skills, and work with limited supervision
- Must be a self-starter, must be self-motivated, and a team player.
- Familiarization with ESD, FOD, 5S, and Tool Control highly preferred
- Must have the ability to focus and have strong attention to detail.
- No heavy lifting required, equal standing and sitting with some reaching.
- Preference to candidates with NASA J-STD and/or IPC 620 certifications.
