Our client, a distinguished Am Law Top 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced Associate to join their highly regarded Labor and Employment Practice. Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will engage in a diverse and challenging workload across a range of employment and labor issues, with a client base that includes regional, national, and multinational companies. Key responsibilities include:
- Advising clients on complex employment compliance matters, such as worker classification, wage and hour regulations, immigration, union and collective bargaining matters, employment policies, and equal opportunity laws.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants.
- Counseling on reductions-in-force, WARN Act issues, and other employment law compliance.
- Performing employment-related due diligence and handling employment representations and covenants in transaction documents.
- Handling litigation matters within the Labor & Employment space, including general litigation, class actions, wage and hour disputes, and trade secret issues.
Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- A minimum of 3–7 years of employment law experience, preferably from a nationally recognized law firm.
- Admission to Texas bar.
- Superior academic credentials and an affinity for research and writing.
- Strong writing, oral communication, and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail and an organized approach.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and conducting legal research at a high level.
- Proven ability to manage a fast-paced, complex workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented, collaborative approach and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
