Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Operations Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forfeiting loans, working capital loans, and international finance. This position involves close collaboration with wire transfer operations, making relevant experience in wires essential. Knowledge of Trade Finance is a significant plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of forfeiting loans and working capital loans, including cancellation of expired loans and extending existing loans.
- Apply interest to outstanding loans and book new loans accurately and efficiently.
- Work closely with wire transfer operations to ensure seamless transaction processing and compliance.
- Handle invoices (facturas) related to international transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Conduct BSA and OFAC checks related to compliance in loan processing and wire transfers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational efficiency and implement best practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the loan process.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all loan transactions and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, finance, or a related field, with a strong focus on loans and wire transfers.
- Experience in Trade Finance is highly desirable.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a MUST.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with BSA and OFAC regulations, as well as wire transfer processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented mindset.
