Job Summary: We are seeking a Paralegal to provide essential support to attorneys in a civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and master new tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys, other paralegals and support staff to provide high-quality legal services.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare legal documents, including letters, memos, and court forms
• File and maintain legal documents
• Assist with the discovery process, including document review, analysis, and organization
• Assist in trial preparation
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties as needed
• Schedule meetings, telephone conferences and court hearings
• Provide general administrative support, including photocopying, scanning, and mailing documents
• Maintain the highest level of ethical standards and uphold client confidentiality
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work product
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
This is a full-time position with potential for growth and advancement within the firm. Depending upon work experience, compensation is between $20.00 – 30.00 per hour, plus full benefits, including paid vacation, 401(k), employer sponsored health insurance and gym membership reimbursement.
