We are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to add to our team located at our York, PA facility. We are a tight-knit group that takes a great deal of pride in what we produce. The Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects. Provide inspection results to engineering relative to the form and fit of manufactured product to Engineering Design. Proper management of the gage calibration system for the shop tools and gages
Essential Functions Performed by the Position

- Familiar with the use and care of measuring and test equipment – micrometers, calipers, pi tapes, etc.
- Dimensionally inspect incoming parts as well as parts fabricated and machined in our facility
- Conduct non-destructive testing such as Visual, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, and Ultrasonic testing
- All associated documentation and records are to be prepared and filed accordingly upon completion of the associated testing
- Sign-off of relevant Inspection and Test Plans upon completion of each step
- Work with Supervision to ensure that all products meet customer requirements before being delivered to the customer
- Perform dimensional inspection on all products
- Perform visual inspection and examination of raw materials, finished parts, and assemblies for surface quality
- Perform receiving inspection of parts for functional, dimensional, and surface quality.
- Monitor and assist with gauge calibration program
- Document nonconforming material conditions
- Perform audits of processes, personnel, and products
- Perform non-destructive testing and evaluate the results to applicable standards
- Obtain and maintain non-destructive testing personnel qualifications to SNT-TC-1A Level II or higher
- Certified Welding Inspector (preferable)
- Maintain supplier history log
- Provide accurate, legible, and complete documentation of inspection and test results
- Assist manufacturing by training personnel to interpret and evaluate acceptance criteria
- Perform source inspections – May require overnight travel (domestic and/or international)
Development Responsibilities:
- Improving the Quality Culture within the American Hydro Team
- Support production personnel on quality-related issues
- Understand and support the importance of record-keeping and documentation
Authorities:
- Review and approval of Quality data supplied in support of manufacturing efforts both internal and external
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements
- Experience with Intelex or similar Quality Management System Software
- Proven experience in a quality role

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma (or GED) or 3-6 months of related experience and training
- Non-Destructive Testing (VT/MT/PT/UT)
