About the role - Yardperson (Kaukauna, WI)
The Yardperson provides bulk product delivery support to blast crews and assistance to crews for on bench operations.
This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to advance to become a CDL Driver. Orica will provide on the job training and the necessary CDL schooling.
Work schedule
- Monday thru Friday
- Home every night
- Local driving (2-3 hours)
- Early morning starts approx. 4 AM
- 8-12 hours per day approx.
- Overtime may be needed
What you will be doing
- Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”), keeping safety guards on equipment in place, using equipment safely, and looking out for the other members on your team
- Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
- Load and unload trucks
- Assist other team members when necessary
- Operate mobile equipment on site
- Assist with maintenance tasks including lubrication, maintenance, minor repairs
- Organize stock and products within the warehouse
- Maintain accurate records of products that have been stocked
- Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all products are in excellent condition
What you will bring
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to work from elevated heights
- Mining, quarry, and construction experience a plus
- Experience with hand tools and mechanical aptitude preferred

Accountabilities
- Must be prompt and committed to doing great work
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site
- Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 50-70 pounds.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Must be able to pass a drug test, MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), and criminal background screening
- Strong organizational skills
Physical requirements
- Work environment involves being outside in all types of weather
- Must be able to load product, pull large hoses, fill holes, and climb on/off of the truck
- Lifting and carrying 50 pounds or more of product or other materials
- Pushing/Pulling in working with equipment
- Other activities include frequent bending and squatting
Your qualifications
- High School or equivalent preferred
- One year related work experience preferred
- Minimum age 18
- Valid driver's license

Compensation
