WCG Construction is seeking a Proposal Manager, with a passion for winning work, who can grow with us!
The right candidate will be equal parts creator, organizer, communicator, relationship builder, time manager, artist, strategist, influencer, and brand ambassador for WCG Construction as an integral part of the Company's efforts to secure new work opportunities.
Utilizing your advanced technical writing skills, graphic design experience, previous RFP experience, and knowledge of the A/E/C industry, you will lead our proposal efforts to craft deliverables and help drive our win strategies.

Position Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage creativity to support the Business Development and Preconstruction departments through marketing tactics and strategic actions that externally promote the Company's services, skills and experience and enhance the odds of being selected by prospective clients and decision makers.
- Serves as the content curator for RFP/Q responses (and similar marketing materials) by coordinating internal resources to meet deliverable deadlines. Manages, proofs, prepares, and creatively assembles the content that influences prospective clients to select WCG as their construction partners. Leads proposal kick-off meetings, sets timelines, and assigns responsibilities.
- Takes ownership of proposals and marketing materials by ensuring all materials are organized, creative, thoughtful, clear and concise, answers all questions, and are accurate.
- Continuously create and maintain a proposal library of templates, resumes, boilerplate content, project pictures and descriptions, and graphics.
- Manages, coordinates, and develops the qualification, proposal development, and interview packages, including formulating content, gathering resources, formatting and proofing, verifying details and relevancy, and completes publication, as required for completion and submission on tight deadlines.
- Utilizes artistry and creativity to ensure that deliverable content stands out from the competition, promotes the organizations’ unique features and benefits, and earns WCG the opportunity to become the contractor of choice.
- Serves as a resource for coaching the interview team and develops interview materials.
- Conducts industry and market research to identify industry trends and potential opportunities.
- Develops, implements, executes and manages WCG’s marketing and public-relations activities. This includes maintaining and developing the company’s social-media presence (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WCG website, etc.), issuing press releases, developing print materials (i.e. publications, brochures, presentations, and job-site banners), structuring and issuing frequent marketing campaigns, and client satisfaction surveys.
- Participates in and supports internal and external events including, but not limited to, customer events, trade shows, company-wide meetings, and employee events.
- Responsible for implementing, administering and maintaining brand consistency across the organization and enhancing the company’s market presence through the day-to-day activities of the marketing department.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience in a marketing role, A/E/C industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in proposal development, marketing, or a related role within the A/E/C industry.
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign and capable in Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong knowledge of and experience developing, formulating and managing organizational websites, social media platforms, online advertisements, e-marketing campaigns, and digital analytics.
- Self-driven and highly motivated. Ability to multitask and monitor several projects and accounts daily in high stress environments with tight deadlines.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and highly focused.
- Excellent written, verbal, and time-management skills, with the ability to exercise strategic-communication judgment to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Proven track record in strategic marketing in B2B environments. A strong commitment to, and appreciation of, achieving excellence.
- Must possess solid diplomacy skills to resolve the typical misunderstandings and conflicts between employees, the public, and clients.
- Ability to be flexible with the scheduling needs of the organization. Willing to work evenings and weekends, periodically, as may be required to meet deadlines.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to project sites or outside meetings periodically.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Schedule is Monday - Friday at our Inverness office.
