As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's adherence to employment policies and safety regulations, while also managing day-to-day HR functions. MUST be OSHA Certified, EHS experience and a BA degree. These responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, compensation and training and workforce development, employee and labor relations, diversity, maintaining employee records, and enforcing company policies and practices. Additionally, this role will actively ensure group compliance with all local and federal employment laws and develop and implement processes and objectives that nurture a safe and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, attending job fairs, posting positions on job platforms, reviewing candidate applications and resumes, scheduling and performing interviews, background and reference checks, and hiring and onboarding of qualified job applicants.
- Develop and implements training and workforce development programs and initiatives for employee growth and skill enhancement.
- Oversees employee disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations following company guidelines and legal prerequisites.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; actively reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Initiates and facilitates a timely annual performance review process; performs reviews and/or assists department managers and supervisors as needed.
- Coordinates, manages, and implements safety program initiatives and committees at each facility.
- Actively plans, coordinates, and participates in quarterly staff meetings and other company events.
- File documents into appropriate employee files.
- Prepare new-employee files.
- Develop and implement environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and policies.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on EHS procedures and practices.
- Provide safety training programs.
- Stay up-to date with changes to EHS regulations and industry practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of human resource management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Certificate in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety highly preferred.
- BA or certificate in Human Resources Management is a plus.
- Must be OSHA 10 or 30, CPR and AED Certification
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems or other ERP software as needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
