Job Title: Engineering Lab Manager
Location: Long Island, NY (Onsite)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lab Manager to lead the assembly, alignment, and testing of RF and microwave electronic component assemblies, from PC sub-assemblies to full system integration. This role involves developing in-process testing and documentation, designing test fixtures, and supporting engineering teams with tools and equipment for RF/Microwave assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assembly and testing of RF/microwave components for seamless system integration.
- Develop in-process test procedures and data sheets for PCAs, modules, and top-level systems.
- Design system interface test fixtures and ensure compliance with performance specifications, including thermal, vibration, and EMI testing requirements.
- Generate detailed engineering documentation, including Failure Reports, Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs), and Recovery Test Plans.
- Provide support for engineers and technicians, ensuring availability of tools and equipment specific to RF/Microwave assemblies.
- Apply technical knowledge of system designs, including passive designs (e.g., power dividers, filters) and active designs (e.g., amplifiers, mixers).
- Ensure EEE parts are selected according to space application standards, including radiation and thermal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, ideally with RF and microwave components.
- Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management Systems and experience with RF/Microwave testing.
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with compliance requirements in engineering environments.
