In this pivotal role, you will be collaborating with the senior traders as well as quantitative researchers, utilizing their premier research platform to enhance both discretionary and systematic strategies and structure and evaluate new trading opportunities. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with senior traders and quantitative researchers to leverage a premier research platform for enhancing trading strategies whilst developing critical skills in analysis, portfolio construction, and risk management. Your role:
- Analyse commodity markets to identify data-driven trading opportunities.
- Generate PnL tracking and attribution reports based on trade ideas
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance to generate risk reports
- Hedge books and allocate hedges appropriately
- Execute large or complex trades which cannot be automated due to complexity or liquidity constraints
Experience/skills required:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, mathematics, engineering or economics.
- Hands-on experience in the North American commodities market
- High GPA/ 1st Class Hons degree.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of financial modeling, specifically using Python.
- Proven track record of meeting challenging objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
