Our client in the eyewear industry is hiring an Industrial Designer!
Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a junior designer who is eager to take on significant creative responsibilities and contribute to a brand that's redefining accessory design. You will work closely with our Creative Director to conceptualize and develop a diverse range of products, including sunglasses, footwear, and leather goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to conceptualize and design innovative products that align with the brand’s aesthetic and vision.
- Create detailed design sketches and high-quality graphics using Adobe Illustrator.
- Utilize iPad sketching techniques to generate ideas and refine designs rapidly.
- Support the 3D modeling of products using Rhino, Brush, or Blender to bring designs to life.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for new product development.
- Prepare presentations and design boards to communicate ideas effectively.
- Assist in the development of prototypes and work with manufacturers to ensure design integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in product design, preferably in fashion accessories or automotive design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; experience with 3D modeling software (Rhino, Brush, Blender) is a plus.
- Strong sketching skills, particularly using digital tools like the iPad.
- A versatile design approach, capable of adapting to various product categories.
- A passion for fashion and an eye for detail, with the ability to think outside the box.
