The position
As Engineering Manager, you will provide hands-on leadership to a team of Senior Project Engineers, Project Engineers, Field Engineers, Field Technicians, and Project Coordinators. You’ll be involved in everything from managing project financials to cultivating strong client relationships. This role is key in overseeing project execution, ensuring maximum team utilization, and maintaining high performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and assign team members to maximize their strengths, providing constructive feedback and training.
- Project Management: Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Client & Business Development: Foster positive client relationships, support business growth, and lead change orders and proposals.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, labor requirements, and team expenses to ensure financial goals are met.
- Special Projects: Take on unique, high-impact initiatives to support company growth.
Could this role be for you?
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years in engineering (5+ in management), and experience with P.E., LEED AP, or CCP credentials preferred.
- Leadership Skills: A natural leader with excellent communication, coaching, and mentorship abilities.
- Financial & Analytical Acumen: Skilled in managing budgets and analyzing project performance.
- Technical Prowess: Ability to work hands-on with MEP systems, ensuring functionality and compliance with client requirements.
- Physical Agility: Must be fit for occasional physical tasks, such as lifting up to 30 lbs and climbing ladders.
- Flexibility to Travel: Willingness to support projects across different sites.
