Sr. Program Manager – Distributed Order Management (DOM) Expertise Required

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Sr. Program Manager will lead complex projects with a focus on the implementation and integration of advanced Distributed Order Management (DOM) systems, particularly the Manhattan Omni platform. This role is crucial for transforming and optimizing the supply chain capabilities of an international retail client by ensuring that all DOM solutions are executed flawlessly. Expertise in DOM technologies and their alignment with supply chain processes is a key requirement, as the role involves overseeing the deployment of new tools that will directly impact order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer satisfaction across multiple channels.
You will be responsible for cross-team collaboration, problem-solving, and ensuring seamless DOM integration into existing infrastructure. Projects will be executed using Agile methodologies in accordance with PMBOK standards, but the focus will remain on the effective management of all DOM-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- DOM Project Leadership: Lead the planning, integration, and deployment of the client’s new DOM system, leveraging your expertise in Manhattan Omni and similar platforms.
- Technical Expertise in DOM: Use your deep technical knowledge of DOM to manage distributed order processes, ensuring they meet both business requirements and technological capabilities.
- Task and Schedule Management: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans that emphasize DOM system tasks, working with technical teams to ensure timelines are realistic and aligned with project objectives.
- Stakeholder & Communication Management: Regularly engage with key business stakeholders and technical teams to provide updates on DOM project progress, risks, and potential issues. Ensure alignment between supply chain operations and IT, with a focus on the success of DOM initiatives.
- Resource Management: Ensure that resources allocated to DOM projects are sufficient to meet project goals and timelines, adjusting plans as necessary to mitigate risks.
- Risk & Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes and risk management strategies, particularly around DOM integration challenges and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed project plans centered around DOM system implementation to minimize costs and risks.
- Lead the transition to a cost-based accounting model, specifically addressing the impact on the DOM system and associated financial and HR modules.
- Ensure clear communication, documentation, and day-to-day management of DOM-focused projects, while overseeing risks, timelines, budgets, and scope.
- Conduct status reviews, including DOM-specific updates with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on deliverables.
- Oversee DOM project quality assurance, risk management, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience, with at least 5 years in project management roles focused on DOM systems.
- Strong expertise in Distributed Order Management Systems (DOM), particularly Manhattan Omni.
- Experience in supply chain projects, digital transformation, and omni-channel solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale DOM integrations and working with system integrators.
- Strong technical proficiency in DOM, coupled with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP certification preferred.
