Data Analyst
Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Analyst to drive business insights through data-driven decision-making. As a key member of our team, you'll analyze complex data sets, develop reports and dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to inform strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze large datasets, identify trends and insights, and create actionable recommendations.
- Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses and data visualizations.
- Design and implement data mapping, mockups and process flows.
Technical Skills
- Write complex SQL queries and joins to extract insights from databases.
- Create tables and reports in Excel.
- Develop and maintain BI dashboards (Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau, SSRS).
Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate complex data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Gather requirements and feedback from end-users.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst and bachelor's degree (or 7+ years of experience without a degree).
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare, specifically with Medicare data (raw claim files).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SQL, data mapping and data warehousing.
- Experience with BI tools (Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau, SSRS).
- Strong Excel skills.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python, Salesforce or SharePoint.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
