About the Opportunity:

We’re seeking someone with related skills and experience to a Jr Construction Superintendent role we have for industrial process projects. Project Engineers, Crew Leads, Construction Foreman, and similar with commercial / industrial construction experience are encouraged to apply for this great opportunity. Your first project will be Food Processing Plant project in the in the Norwich, NY area that is approximately 14 months in duration and where this individual would be working with a Sr Site Construction Superintendent. Future projects will likely involve Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and Biogas process plants, CNG fueling stations, and food & beverage facilities in the same region but potentially across the lower 48 states.
As a Jr. Construction Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for leading subcontractors and on-site teams in the preparation and construction of projects that typically span 12 to 15 months. Company provides for travel back home every other weekend. This role is a perfect fit for accomplished Jr Superintendents, Foreman, project engineers with experience in concrete pours and foundations and walls, industrial process piping, mechanical equipment installation, commissioning, electrical installation, and concrete foundation work.
Due to the company’s growth, we’re adding new positions, and we’re looking for candidates from anywhere in the continental US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure safe, on-schedule, and within-budget execution of all on-site project work.
- Lead and coordinate on-site subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project schedules and safety standards.
- Implement and enforce project-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and all company safety programs.
- Produce and manage daily construction reports, weekly subcontractor meeting minutes, and monthly project progress reports.
- Serve as the primary interface with the client’s on-site representative and local authorities.
- Coordinate quality control inspections and ensure timely submission of all reports.
- Maintain project documentation and oversee project completion, ensuring it meets schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent / Foreman, with a background in similar fields such as food process piping and heavy concrete work.
- At least 2 years of experience with concrete foundation forms and heavy civil construction.
- Proven experience in equipment rigging, structure erection, and crane heavy lifts.
- A minimum of 2 years as a trades worker in pipe fitting, concrete, civil, mechanical, or electrical disciplines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and project management tools like Procore or Microsoft Project.
- Must be able to work a 12 days on-site and home every other weekend with travel paid for. If you reside within a commutable distance of your primary residence, being home every night and on every weekend is possible. Otherwise, company pays for home visits every other weekend.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of climbing ladders, walking entire job sites, and lifting up to 50 lbs. as needed.
